Job Title: Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL) Developer

Location: St. Louis, MO - Onsite Role Type: Contract

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL) Developer to design, develop, customize, and maintain Salesforce Field Service solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong Salesforce development skills and hands-on experience with field service management, work orders, service appointments, scheduling, and mobile workforce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize Salesforce Field Service Lightning applications based on business requirements.
  • Build custom components using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce as needed.
  • Configure work orders, service appointments, service territories, service resources, and operating hours.
  • Implement scheduling policies, service resource assignments, and optimization processes.
  • Develop Salesforce Flows, triggers, validation rules, and custom objects.
  • Integrate Salesforce FSL with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware.
  • Customize the Salesforce Field Service mobile application to support field technicians.
  • Write and execute unit tests, troubleshoot issues, and improve application performance.
  • Participate in requirement gathering, technical design, deployment, and production support.
  • Work with business analysts, project managers, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver solutions.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce development.
  • Experience with Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL).
  • Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Experience with Salesforce Flows, triggers, and automation.
  • Knowledge of work orders, service appointments, service resources, and scheduling.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations.
  • Understanding of Salesforce security, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules.
  • Experience with Salesforce deployment tools, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I or Platform Developer II certification.
  • Salesforce Field Service certification.
  • Experience with scheduling optimization and mobile workforce management.
  • Knowledge of Service Cloud and Salesforce Lightning architecture.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Experience

  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce Field Service Lightning experience preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
