Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems is seeking a Field Engineering Services Manager 2. This position is located in Roy, Utah.

What You’ll Get To Do:

The successful candidate for this position will perform the duties for deployment of the Sentinel weapon system. The successful candidate will assist in site buildup, system emplacement and modification of existing and new Test and Training Sites. They will research, plan, design and develop schedules, procedures and material for upgrade projects to include electrical and electronic equipment, power systems components for the Sentinel Weapon System.

Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customers organization.

The successful candidate will conduct deployment planning to include installation for all weapon system equipment.

  • The ability to plan, document, and install assembly, disassembly, troubleshooting, and check-out of weapon system equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communications skills, be self-motivated, understand and exhibit a strong team work ethic and approach.
  • The ability to work closely with other IPT’s (Integrated Product Teams), Design Engineering IPT’s, Configuration Management, Systems Engineering, and Technical Publication Writing/Editing teams.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree with 8 years of related work experience: or Masters and 6 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • 3+ years of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule in a project management or similar role.
  • 3+ years of experience as a people manager
  • Prior experience with ICBMs/Missile Maintenance
  • Experience working in deployed/remote locations
  • Prior experience fielding and deploying complex weapon systems
  • Proven experience working within Government production and deployment contracts
  • Experience building schedules and applying resources to meet aggressive milestones within budget constraints

Primary Level Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $172,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
