Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary:

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, based in Algosystems in Athens Greece, will design, implement, integrate, support and optimize enterprise Cybersecurity solutions for Algosystems’ customers.

What You Will Do: 

The role requires strong hands-on technical expertise across security technologies, customer orientation and the ability to support complex projects and Managed Services environments.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, integrate and troubleshoot enterprise Cybersecurity solutions.
• Support complex customer environments, projects and Managed Services, ensuring security, availability, performance and SLA compliance.
• Perform implementations, upgrades, migrations, integrations, changes and technical problem resolution.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, configurations, implementation plans and operational procedures.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point, supporting engineers and resolving complex security technology issues.
• Collaborate with architects, project teams, vendors and customers during solution design, implementation and transition to operations.
• Maintain and continuously develop technical expertise and relevant vendor certifications.

Qualifications and Work Experience

• 7+ years of professional experience in Cybersecurity Engineering, Security Solutions or related technical roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise security technologies such as IAM, PAM, DLP, WAF, EDR/XDR, NDR, SASE/SSE, ZTNA, Email Security and Cloud Security.
• Strong understanding of security architecture, integration, authentication, access control, data protection and security operations principles.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft security solutions, Fortinet security solutions and CyberArk is highly desirable.
• Experience implementing and supporting security solutions in large and complex enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across multiple security technologies.
• Relevant cybersecurity and vendor certifications are highly desirable.
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity or a related discipline.
• Good command of English, written and spoken.
