Company Description
The Financial Aid Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with Title IV financial aid regulations through student file reviews and packaging audits.
Job Description
- Review financial aid files for compliance with federal Title IV and state regulations and institutional policies.
- Timely and accurate promotion or demotion of financial aid files in Anthology and related student information systems.
- Update Anthology and related student information systems with appropriate notes and statuses to ensure timely accurate packaging and disbursement of aid awards.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to resolve questions, concerns or discrepant student data.
- Calculate file review rejection & approval rates for supervisor review.
- Remain up to date with TIV Regulations, attend training, etc.
- Assist with the preparation of student files for annual SFA Audits.
- Review Cal Grant eligibility and certify Cal Grant rosters.
- Assist with other Financial Aid Projects as needed.
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience packaging or auditing Title IV financial aid
- Associate degree in relevant field preferred but will consider experience in lieu of degree.
- Ability to demonstrate effective and professional communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills, proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
