- Design, architect, and maintain Ethernet or virtual networks not limited to network protocols, subnetting, Layer 2/3 switching, Internet Protocol (IP) addressing schemes, Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), hypervisor management, load balancing, and Software Defined Networks (SDN) across mission system networks
- Provide technical expertise in solving complex networking and software engineering problems
- Implement network security best practices not limited to network segmentation, hardware/software firewalls, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and port security
- Monitor network performance, availability, and optimize throughput to support current mission system requirements and future needs
- Script utilizing languages such as Powershell, Bash, or Python for device configuration, data collection, monitoring, reporting, and file transfers
- Maintain documentation and configuration control of network design and architecture, to include troubleshooting actions and system behavior and resolving networking issues
- Support compliance with DoD Instructions and Directives governing cybersecurity of mission systems and IT environments
- Collaborate with cybersecurity personnel to implement security controls to mission system network architecture
- Provide continuous daily network engineering support with customer’s engineering personnel
- Support onsite to identify and resolve network issues related to mission with possible travel to support at CONUS/OCONUS locations
- Communicate network architecture to non-technical stakeholders
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Training (both required and desired):
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering or science discipline from an ABET accredited program required
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Security+ certification preferred
Experience:
- 12+ years of professional experience in the required task area
Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Secret Clearance or higher preferred
- If selected candidate does not have an active Clearance at level Secret or higher, one will be obtained upon hire
Physical Requirements:
- Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
- Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)

Salary: $120,000 - 135,000
This is not a guarantee of compensation, rather actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications or degrees held. Offered salary may fall outside of this range.
