About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Analytics Specialist with strong expertise in Power BI and Snowflake to design scalable business intelligence solutions, build optimized data models, and develop high-performance dashboards.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical proficiency in SQL, DAX, data modeling, data warehousing, Snowflake, and cloud-based analytics, along with the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop enterprise-grade dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Build and optimize tabular data models, including relationships, hierarchies, calculated columns, and measures.
- Develop advanced DAX calculations using functions such as CALCULATE, FILTER, ALL, and time-intelligence functions.
- Perform data transformation and cleansing using Power Query/M language.
- Extract and integrate data from Snowflake using native connectors and optimize query performance.
- Develop complex SQL queries using joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, and analytical functions.
- Design and implement data warehouse models including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and SCD Type 1 & Type 2.
- Optimize Snowflake performance using clustering keys, query pruning, result caching, and appropriate virtual warehouse sizing.
- Implement incremental data loads and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Configure and manage Power BI Gateway, scheduled refresh, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Power BI and Analytics.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL, and Snowflake.
- Advanced SQL knowledge, including CTEs, joins, subqueries, and window functions.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, ETL/ELT, OLAP, and OLTP.
- Experience with Snowflake performance optimization and query execution.
- Knowledge of RLS, data masking, and role-based access control.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Qualifications
Good to Have:
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
- Power BI or Snowflake certification.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale analytics environments.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
