Job Description

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Perform month-end close processes, including the preparation and review of journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely compliance with local and regional financial filings, working with external providers as necessary.
  • Apply and ensure adherence to global accounting standards, policies, and local regulations.
  • Resolve balance sheet items for assigned accounts promptly and accurately.
  • Support the preparation of statutory accounts, including drafting technical accounting papers and audit schedules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting, performance management, and compliance efforts.

This position for Latam Region is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records aligned with local regulations also with IFRS standards global report. This role provides advanced financial analysis, supports month-end and year-end closing processes, and ensures adherence to internal policies and external regulatory standards. The analyst plays a key role in maintaining the general ledger, review variance analysis, preparing financial statements, review Bracs submissions and supporting audits. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, this position contributes to strategic decision-making and continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls, all activities mentioned before should be perform for Latam Region which means management of local GAAP and regulations.

  • Ensure the accuracy, quality, and compliance of corporate and statutory accounting records, supported by proper documentation
  • Manage all accounting transactions and maintain accounting books in accordance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Lead and coordinate monthly, semi-annually, and annual financial closings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Prepare statutory financial statements for Latam Countries and audit financial statements monthly analyses, and variance explanations to support decision-making
  • Review and approve Bracs submissions.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger to ensure integrity of financial data
  • Support internal and external audits, including addressing audit findings and resolving discrepancies
  • Coordinate complex accounting projects and cross-functional initiatives with finance and other departments
  • Collaborate with Tax, Accounts Payable, and Collections teams to ensure accurate and compliant financial operations
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of external local accounting firms, ensuring alignment with local and tax requirements
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of accounting systems, processes, and automation initiatives
  • Monitor and improve accounting controls, identifying opportunities for process optimization and increased efficiency
  • Provide guidance on regulatory changes and recommend appropriate actions to ensure compliance
  • Act as a key liaison across departments to align accounting practices and ensure consistency in financial reporting
  • Proven hands-on experience with SAP for financial and accounting processes
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong expertise in Excel
  • Solid working knowledge of Hyperion for financial planning and analysis
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles and robust financial analysis capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational abilities and effective stress management skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently under pressure
  • Highly detail-oriented and methodical in approach
  • Well-organized, proactive, and driven by initiative
