What you will do

As a Data Analyst Co-op, you will play a crucial role in extracting actionable insights from our data sets, utilizing your coding expertise to manipulate and analyze data effectively. You will develop methods and tools to bring data and actionable intelligence to development teams to improve our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, model and analyze data using programming languages and data analysis software
  • Maintain and improve features within existing codebases
  • Design and develop software to facilitate the collection and analysis of data from various phases of product development and post sales
  • Collaborate with Development, Test, and Field Engineers
  • Collaborate within cross-functional analytics community to share findings and best practices

Who are you?

You are a Computer Science or Software Engineering student that is prepared to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment, gaining experience and knowledge in various aspects of engineering (or mechanical, electrical, software, design, production, etc.).  As a valued member of the engineering team within TTI, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the engineers in the department.  TTI’s values collaboration and life-long learning and our goal is to contribute to your development while providing you an opportunity to work in a business environment within the manufacturing industry.  You will report to the Engineering Manager for CAB Analysis.

Required:

  • Must be enrolled and pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Data Science or related program at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies. 
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75. 
  • Proficiency in Python, Pandas, and data visualization tools (e.g. Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly); familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
  • Co-ops are not enrolled in academic courses during their co-op rotation and may work up to 40 hours per week
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Collaborative team player
  • Self-starter with initiative and the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Analytical problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • Curious, eager to learn, and adaptable to new tools and challenges

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL and relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
  • Familiarity with modern software development workflows, including Docker, Git/GitHub, REST APIs, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Understanding of machine learning principles

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $17.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
