ABOUT THE ROLE

Under the supervision of the Traceability and Compliance Manager, the Data Analyst contributes to the strategic management of Traceability activities by ensuring the accuracy, analysis, and effective use of data collected from partner cooperative societies. Working closely with operational teams, He is responsible for managing data, developing decision-support tools, and automating analytical processes to produce clear, precise, and impactful reports. The Data Analyst plays a vital role in operational excellence and makes a significant contribution to ensuring high-quality data both internally and for Barry Callebaut's customers.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES INCLUDE

The Data Analyst will be responsible for the following activities:

• Data Analytics management

• Turn field data flows into actionable insights to improve farmer livelihoods and manage environmental impacts.

• Consolidate, clean, and structure multi-source data to ensure reliable indicators.

• Develop analyses and present the risks arising from data analysis.

• Conduct data analyses in accordance with applicable national and international regulations.

• Registers update

• Organize data extraction for register updates Collect, verify, clean, and consolidate reliable data from suppliers

• Oversee data analysis by the internal processing system

• Develop all necessary tools for register updates.

• Provide support to the GRT team for register updates based on preliminary data analysis.

• Remove corrupted data and correct coding errors and related issues.

• Work closely with the GRT teams to ensure all farmer registers are accurate.

• Work closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to ensure all data collected in the registers is subsequently uploaded to our global platform.

• Data Quality Management for Delivery Data on Farmforce/Katchilé

• Ensures the quality and reliability of delivery data using appropriate tools

• Trains back-office teams responsible for data processing on the Katchile web platform

• Filters and cleans delivery data by reviewing Katchile/Farmforce data and reports Interprets delivery data,

• Analyze results using statistical techniques, and provides regular reports

• Identifies and defines opportunities to improve the delivery data collection process

• Analyzes data to answer specific questions

• Calculate the premiums for farmers (main crop and mid-crop).

• Develop and collect the premium template.

• Follow and verify the premium payment with Cooperatives and farmers

• Yield Control Management

• oversee farmers' yield control activities (batch traceability/yield monitoring).

• conduct a risk analysis of cocoa infiltration from protected areas within our value chain.

• ensure the availability and reliability of data for internal and client reports.

• will produce internal and external reports as required.

• Development of decision-support tools

• Design strategic dashboards to monitor traceability KPIs.

• Support the preparation of Clients reports.

• Deploy automated alerts on KPI drifts or inconsistencies to proactively manage risks.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, relevant, and timely reporting.

• Train and coach field teams and junior analysts on data visualization and strategic interpretation.

• Co-facilitate collaborative analysis workshops to refine hypotheses and challenge findings.

• System Management (Farmforce/Katchilé & others)

• Manage and track incidents related to FarmForce (Origin Web and Mobile).

• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new FarmForce features.

• Provide training and onboarding for new cooperatives.

• Train and support BCS teams using FarmForce.

• Provide local support to global digital teams for monitoring and developing FarmForce.

• Devices: follow up of availability of required hardware, especially during UAT and training.

• Escalate to local IT if issue during project phase or support.

• Version release: ensure end-users are using the correct version and follow up on synching

• Following up and monitoring of the project implementation.

• Reporting to the local management and project team on progress & challenges.

• Troubleshooting potential problems and ensuring the project remains on schedule.

• Coordination with the project stakeholders (internal and external).

ABOUT YOU

  • Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science or Business Intelligence.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data analysis and management, ideally within the agricultural sector, with deep knowledge of the cocoa value chain.
  • Proven experience coordinating and supervising cross-functional analytical projects in collaboration with multi-site field teams and external partners, within an international and multicultural environment.
