The Job: The DEWALT Power Tool Accessories division of Stanley Black and Decker is looking for a Product Manager.  You will be responsible for developing product and market strategies to drive growth and improve profitability across the portfolio that includes Metal Drilling and Wood Drilling.

As the Product Manager you will evaluate and develop the product line total sales and product positioning and will be responsible for managing the annual marketing budget and the profit and loss of the product line. Your strong project management skills and the ability to effectively work with others across the organization including product managers, brand marketing, engineering and customer service will be required.

  • Manage the complete product lifecycle process, alongside the Product Management team from concept to delivery 
  • Assist in market functions relating to assigned product lines as well as general departmental functions.  
  • Driving and developing new products while overseeing and managing quality issues, developing sales and promotion programs.   
  • Developing and implementing relevant point-of-purchase displays, materials and web content; benchmark competitors and perform competitive pricing analysis. 
  • Responsible for development and execution of a comprehensive, multi-year strategic plan for the profitable management of the new product pipeline, pricing, gross margins, collateral materials & point-of-purchase.  Also entails a monthly forecast of product lines to include detailed tactics required to meet strategic objectives.  
  • Maintain an awareness of trends in the industry and related industries and develop a deep understanding of the end user and their applications to incorporate these insights into successful new product launches. 
  • Supporting and preparing for customer meetings, presentations and line reviews.  
  • Assist in leading cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives, as well as act as the point of contact for manufacturing, purchasing, sales, quality and engineering. 
  • Validation of product CTQs, claims, and testing with End Users
  • Provide product training to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Evaluate and develop product line total sales and product positioning - responsible for managing the annual marketing budget and the profit and loss of the product line. 
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, marketing and sales teams to design and build products that service the needs of our end user, align to relevant CTQ’s, and create a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
  • Conduct market research and communicate with external stakeholders to get feedback and relay important information

The Person:

  • BS or BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field 
  • 3+ years of Product Management experience
  • Consumer products / research experience
  • Experience working directly with retailers or other large customers is a plus 
  • Cost Management & Financial Modeling
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and lead teams – must be able to present data and conclusions in an organized manner.  
  • Demonstrated Ability to multi-task 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. 
  • Demonstrated problem solving, research, and analytical skills. 
  • Experience using various computer applications including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other applications in the Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Must have a “can-do” attitude – the desire to go above and beyond in all you do! 
  • Travel required, up to 25%
  • Role is Hybrid with 3 days per week in Office

The Salary range for this position is $62,200.00 - $100,200.00
