International is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a talented group of engineers responsible for supporting and advancing our manufacturing operations. As International Motors continues to grow in San Antonio, we are expanding our production operations with the introduction of a night production shift. The night shift is Monday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 4:00 AM, with production planned to begin in early 2027. This position will initially work Day Shift and be required to transition to Night Shift as the operation ramps up in mid-2027.
Day Shift Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM.
Night Shift Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:30 PM–4:00 AM.
This is a salaried position supporting a manufacturing operation. While the primary schedule aligns with the designated production shift, employees are expected to provide operational support as needed to meet business objectives. This may require working outside normal production hours, including extended shifts, production startup activities, recovery efforts, and occasional weekend support based on operational requirements.
Shift Differential: 10% differential upon transitioning to Night Shift work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers responsible for supporting production equipment, tooling, and manufacturing systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
- Partner with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) and product development teams to successfully integrate new products, equipment, and processes into production.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and assign engineering projects that improve operational performance.
- Ensure manufacturing equipment and tooling remain reliable, efficient, and capable of meeting production demands.
- Oversee the development of specifications, scopes of work, and installation plans for manufacturing equipment and tooling.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of automation technologies, robotics, fluid fill systems, urethane dispensing equipment, and other advanced manufacturing solutions.
- Develop reporting, monitoring, and process-control systems that enable data-driven decision making.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of product manufacturing experience
OR
- Master's degree and at least 4 years of product manufacturing experience
OR
- At least 8 years of product manufacturing experience
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
