About the role
The Data and Analytics Project Manager will coordinate platform, data product, and reporting work while ensuring data quality and ownership throughout the delivery lifecycle. They are responsible for creating the programme plan, managing stakeholders, and driving alignment across technical and business teams.
What they look for
Requirements
Candidates must have senior IT or data project management experience with a strong understanding of data platforms and analytics delivery. The role requires the ability to manage agile work within governance frameworks and communicate complex decisions effectively.
Full description
Nordic Investin is recruiting a Data and Analytics Project Manager on behalf of one of our partner companies. You know that data programmes depend as much on definitions, ownership and adoption as on pipelines and platforms.
The partner is building a modern analytics capability across business functions. You will coordinate platform, data product and reporting work while making sure that source ownership, quality and decision use remain visible throughout delivery.
Technology delivery is treated as organisational change with technical consequences. The partner expects one coherent view across architecture, security, data, suppliers, users and operations from initial scope through stable ownership.
How you will work
You will work across business owners, technical specialists, security, operations and external suppliers. The partner expects you to understand enough detail to test the plan, while keeping technical accountability with the appropriate experts. Ownership continues through cutover, stabilisation and handover.
As a senior colleague, you will own substantial outcomes and help others make stronger decisions. You are expected to recognise risk early, communicate it without drama and move work forward with practical alternatives. Seniority here means broader judgement and follow through, not distance from delivery.
What you will do
- Create the data programme plan, governance and release roadmap.
- Coordinate engineers, analysts, architects and business owners.
- Manage source dependencies, data quality and access decisions.
- Drive definition alignment and data product acceptance.
- Control suppliers, risks, budget and executive reporting.
- Plan adoption, support and ownership after release.
What you will bring
- Senior IT or data project management experience.
- Understanding of data platforms, integration and analytics delivery.
- Strong dependency and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience establishing data ownership and acceptance.
- Ability to manage agile work within programme governance.
- Professional English and precise decision communication.
Experience that would add value
- Azure data platforms, Databricks or cloud warehouses.
- Data governance and master data.
- AI or advanced analytics initiatives.
A background that can succeed here
Your background may be data delivery, business intelligence, IT programme management or analytics consulting. You do not need to design the architecture, but you must understand why unclear definitions and unmanaged source changes can defeat a technically successful build.
What makes the opportunity interesting
The role offers the chance to create a capability used across the organisation. You will connect technical delivery with trusted information and help teams move from isolated reports toward owned, reusable data products.
The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time.
The recruitment conversation
During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional credential if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap.
How to apply
Apply with your CV or LinkedIn profile and a short note describing the most relevant organisation, service, project or financial process you have helped improve. Nordic Investin welcomes candidates with different routes into the profession and assesses applicants on relevant capability, judgement and potential.
