Full description

Hal Leonard is going through a major operational transformation across production and fulfilment, and we're looking for a Project Manager who can bring structure to a complex, fast-moving change agenda. This person will run rigorous research and business case work, turn strategic intent into decisions leadership can act on, and be just as comfortable on the shop floor as in a boardroom. It's a high-visibility role with real ownership.

We are actively integrating AI and automation into all areas of the business and expect candidates with a mindset focused on improving efficiency and delivering a better user experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end transformation programme for Production & Fulfilment: programme plan, milestone tracker, decision log
  • Lead research workstreams on warehouse systems selection (ERP/WMS), print-on-demand models, and stock management strategy
  • Build business cases per workstream — cost-benefit analysis, vendor comparisons, implementation roadmaps
  • Manage relationships with external consultants, vendors and suppliers on the programme
  • Act as the coordination point between Operations, Finance, IT and commercial teams on all transformation activity
  • Prepare briefings, recommendations and options papers to drive executive decision-making
  • Identify and manage programme risks and dependencies; escalate blockers early
  • Report to stakeholders regularly and maintain documentation in Confluence

Requirements

  • Proven Project Manager experience in physical operations, supply chain, manufacturing or logistics
  • Track record leading complex, multi-workstream transformation or change programmes
  • Comfortable building and presenting business cases to senior stakeholders, including financial modelling and cost-benefit analysis
  • Strong research and analytical skills; able to evaluate systems and vendor options objectively
  • Experience with WMS, ERP or production systems — as a user or in an implementation context
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management, from operational to executive level
  • Highly organised, able to manage ambiguity and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident with Jira and Confluence
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and driving progress independently, without close oversight

Nice to have:

  • Experience with print-on-demand or digital print operations
  • Knowledge of European or US distribution and logistics networks
