Business Intelligence Analyst

Location: Winnipeg, MB (Onsite)

ODRA is a fast-growing North American manufacturer on a strong upward trajectory Internationally. Demand for our premium street sweeping equipment is accelerating-and we're expanding our team to support continued growth.

We design and build high-performance, chassis-mounted mechanical sweepers trusted by municipalities, contractors, airports, and industrial operations for their fuel efficiency, reliability, and low cost of ownership. Position Summary

This is a highly analytical and business-focused role working directly with ODRA's senior leadership team and company owners. The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for researching, validating, analyzing, and organizing information that supports strategic business decisions across the organization with clear, actionable intelligence, while leveraging AI and digital tools to improve how the organization gathers and uses information.

This is not a traditional research or data-entry position. Success in this role requires curiosity, critical thinking, strong organizational skills, and the ability to navigate complex or incomplete information. You will be asked to investigate business challenges, evaluate opportunities, analyze trends, and provide leadership with clear, actionable insights.

The work is highly varied and may include researching competitors, markets, suppliers, technologies, operational issues, customer trends, regulations, business opportunities, and emerging industry developments. You will also support the use of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, AI tools, and digital technologies that improve how information is collected, organized, and utilized throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market, competitive, business, customer, supplier, product, and operational research
  • Gather information from multiple sources and evaluate its accuracy, reliability, and relevance
  • Identify inconsistencies, assumptions, and areas requiring further investigation
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative information to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and business insights
  • Prepare summaries, reports, presentations, comparisons, and decision-support materials for leadership
  • Maintain organized research files, databases, project trackers, and information repositories
  • Support strategic projects, investigations, and business initiatives led by senior leadership
  • Utilize Microsoft 365, SharePoint, AI tools, and research platforms to improve productivity and information management
  • Develop and maintain structured workflows that improve how information is organized and accessed
  • Research emerging technologies and identify practical opportunities to improve business performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, analytics, research, operations, engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered
  • Experience in business research, market analysis, consulting, business intelligence, operations, strategic planning, or related analytical roles
  • Exposure to manufacturing, industrial equipment, transportation, construction, municipal services, or related industries is preferred
  • Experience supporting executive leadership teams with research, analysis, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to objectively evaluate information, distinguish facts from assumptions, and identify inconsistencies or gaps
  • Experience utilizing digital tools, information management systems, and business technologies such as; SharePoint, Power BI, data visualization tools, research platforms, or executive-level reporting is an asset
