Requirements

Candidates must hold an HNC/D degree in a relevant technical field or possess extensive equivalent experience. A full UK driving license and strong IT and networking infrastructure skills are required for this field-based role.

Full description

As an X-Ray Field Service Engineer, you deliver technical support, maintenance, and repair services for Agfa Radiology’s state-of-the-art imaging products. You will be travelling to customer sites and you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of imaging equipment and associated ICT/electrical equipment, to ensure the proper functioning and optimal performance of our products. You act as a liaison between Agfa Radiology Solutions and our customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely resolution of technical issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in cooperation with Agfa’s Shared Service Centre to carry out service, maintenance, updates and installation of products.
  • Maintain all test equipment, tools and company property in good and working order and process spare parts in accordance with policy
  • Expand your knowledge and that of colleagues and customers, ensuring continuous development and improvement
  • Build relationships and maintain team working with all internal and external partners
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements and company’s policies and work procedures
  • Identify and escalate situations impacting customer satisfaction and/or contractual obligations
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the organisation to ensure achievement of goals

Experience and Qualifications

  • You have an HNC/D degree in electromechanics, electronics, computer science or engineering; alternatively qualified by extensive experience
  • Ideally you will have previous field service experience where you have undertaken similar type of work.
  • You will have strong IT, Microsoft Office and Networking Infrastructure skills
  • You hold a full UK driving license
