As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll take the lead in architecting and scaling our data infrastructure, ensuring that teams across the company have secure, reliable, and high-quality access to data. You’ll design and optimize pipelines, own core data models, and implement governance and quality standards that will shape the future of our platform. Beyond the technical side, you’ll mentor junior engineers, lead design discussions, and collaborate with product, engineering, analytics, and data science to ensure our data foundation scales with the business. Your work will directly power data-driven decision-making at Amenitiz.

  • Implement and drive standards for data governance, observability, and quality across all pipelines.
  • Efficiently integrate diverse data sources, APIs, and third-party platforms.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to deliver improvements to data architecture aligned with company goals.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and proactively optimize pipeline performance, including incident response and root cause analysis.

Contribute to the long-term data platform strategy, including evaluations of new tools, standards, and design patterns.

  • Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical coaching, and knowledge sharing.

About you

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Expert-level SQL and strong proficiency in Python (or other data-related programming languages).
  • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) and orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow, dbt).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architectures (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with data privacy, security, and governance frameworks.
