Noble Green Energy is growing — and we’re looking for an experienced Solar PV Project Manager to take ownership of the delivery of our commercial and industrial solar projects across the UK.
This is a genuine delivery role. You’ll take an issued design package and turn it into a completed, operational installation — owning the programme, subcontractors, live site delivery and client relationship from mobilisation through to handover.
We have a significantly increasing volume of commercial installations coming through, alongside a growing pipeline of larger 1 MW–20 MWp projects, so this is an opportunity to join a business where your experience will have real impact from day one.
What you’ll be responsible for
🔹 Building and owning project programmes and Gantt charts using MS Project, Asta Powerproject, Primavera or similar 🔹 Managing multiple live C&I solar installations simultaneously 🔹 Planning and sequencing works from design handover through procurement, installation, commissioning and handover 🔹 Managing electrical, roofing, scaffolding, steelwork, craneage and specialist subcontractors 🔹 Holding contractors accountable for programme, quality and safety 🔹 Mobilising sites, coordinating trades and managing day-to-day delivery 🔹 Reviewing RAMS, carrying out safety audits and fulfilling relevant CDM 2015 responsibilities 🔹 Inspecting installations against design, specification and BS 7671 requirements 🔹 Managing snagging, commissioning, testing and final handover 🔹 Acting as the main client contact throughout construction 🔹 Chairing progress meetings and providing clear reporting to senior stakeholders 🔹 Managing variations and keeping projects commercially and operationally on track
What we’re looking for
You’ll need at least 3 years’ hands-on experience managing commercial and industrial solar PV installations — managing the build and delivery rather than supporting someone else who does.
You should also have:
✅ Proven experience creating and managing your own project programmes ✅ Strong subcontractor management experience ✅ SMSTS or SSSTS ✅ Valid CSCS or ECS card ✅ Good understanding of electrical drawings, single line diagrams and BS 7671 ✅ Confidence dealing with senior client stakeholders ✅ Experience managing multiple live sites ✅ Strong organisation and documentation skills ✅ Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide ✅ Existing right to work in the UK — no sponsorship available
Desirable experience
It would be great if you also have:
- 18th Edition / C&G 2382
- Inspection & Testing / C&G 2391
- NEBOSH or IOSH
- APM PMQ, PRINCE2 or equivalent
- Ground-mount and larger-scale solar projects (1 MW+)
- Battery energy storage integrated with PV
- MCS experience
- DNO process knowledge (G98/G99/G100)
- Solar PV O&M experience
Importantly, this is not a design position.
You won't be expected to produce PV designs, use PVsyst/AutoCAD/OpenSolar/Helioscope/PV*SOL, or originate grid connections. Those responsibilities sit with our Technical Manager.
We're looking for someone who is decisive on site, highly organised, technically credible and straightforward with clients and contractors — someone who takes ownership and gets projects delivered properly, safely and on time.
What’s on offer?
- Competitive basic salary, depending on experience
- Bonus
- Company car
- 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays
- Company pension
- Perkbox benefits
- Remote / home-based working
- Nationwide travel with expenses covered
If you're an experienced C&I Solar PV Project Manager looking for a role with genuine responsibility, strong project pipeline and the opportunity to make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
