CDIT Solutions is seeking a Senior System Administrator / DevOps Engineer with deep Linux and Kubernetes experience to support a high-visibility IC-wide mission environment. The role is part of a software development and engineering effort focused on productizing an operational system for broader deployment.
The successful candidate will own day-to-day administration of CentOS/RHEL and Kubernetes-based environments, apply container fundamentals and DevOps practices, and contribute to a team supporting the full daily service window.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Linux systems (CentOS/RHEL) in
a production mission environment.
- Operate and support Kubernetes-based environments,
including tooling and container fundamentals.
- Apply DevOps and automation practices to streamline
deployment, configuration, and operations.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams on
provisioning, scaling, availability, and resiliency.
- Support security compliance activities and participate
in troubleshooting across the stack.
- Participate in the team's rotating coverage model to
maintain 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM availability.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
(FSP).
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Linux System
Administrator / Engineer.
- Hands-on Linux administration experience (CentOS/RHEL).
- Demonstrated Kubernetes (K8s) experience, including
tooling and container fundamentals.
- Proficiency with BASH scripting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Red Hat certification.
- Experience with High Side / Classified networking
environments.
- Automation and configuration management tooling:
Python, Ansible, Salt.
- VMware experience.
- Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Key management and encryption technologies.
- Supporting experience in storage, networking, security
compliance, authentication, and physical server administration.
- Currently holds or recently held SYS3 PRIVAC level
(candidates not currently at SYS3 will need to put in for it).
