Summary: As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The role includes installing database management systems and developing comprehensive procedures to support daily maintenance activities. Problem resolution is a key focus, requiring proactive identification and troubleshooting of issues to maintain seamless database operations. Collaboration with various teams to align database strategies with organizational goals is also an integral part of the daily routine, ensuring that data infrastructure supports business needs effectively and efficiently.

Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams. - Lead the development and enforcement of database policies and standards to ensure data integrity and security. - Oversee performance tuning and optimization of database systems to enhance efficiency and scalability. - Mentor junior team members by providing guidance and support to foster professional growth and skill development.

Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Apache Cassandra. - Experience in database installation, configuration, and maintenance. - Strong knowledge of data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery techniques. - Ability to monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies. - Familiarity with scripting and automation to streamline database management tasks. - Understanding of data security best practices and compliance requirements.

Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in Apache Cassandra. - This position is based at our Hyderabad office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
