About the role
You will play a key role in transforming SEB’s Finance & Risk Data Platform into a modern, scalable, and audit-ready enterprise data warehouse. As part of the FR360 Data Platform team, you will help establish a data architecture that enables the reliable integration of more than 200 source systems while meeting the high standards of a regulated banking environment.
Your primary focus will be designing and implementing robust data models that support business reporting, regulatory requirements, historical tracking, and data governance. You will work closely with data engineers, architects, business stakeholders, and Finance and Risk specialists to ensure that data is accurate, traceable, and fit for purposes.
Key responsibilities include:
• Design and evolve the target enterprise data warehouse architecture for the Finance and Risk data domains.
• Model complex business data using scalable, maintainable patterns, with a strong focus on Data Vault 2.0 principles and methodologies.
• Design Hubs, Links, Satellites, Business Vault components, and downstream information marts for operational and analytical use cases.
• Define and promote standards for historization, auditability, lineage, metadata management, and data quality.
• Build and optimize ELT processes using Google Cloud Platform technologies, including BigQuery, Cloud Composer/Airflow, and Dataform /DBT.
• Integrate and harmonise data from a large number of heterogeneous source systems while maintaining full traceability to the source.
• Drive best practices in data modelling, warehouse design, and engineering excellence across the team.
• Mentor other engineers and help build a long-term data architecture that supports future business growth and evolving regulatory requirements.
You will share responsibility for the team’s day-to-day data engineering work while taking a leading role in data modelling, architecture, governance, and engineering standards.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
• Deep expertise in data modelling and enterprise data warehouse design.
• Proven experience with Data Vault 2.0, including Hubs, Links, Satellites, historization, auditability, and lineage.
• A track record of building scalable data platforms that integrate large numbers of heterogeneous source systems.
• A strong ability to balance business requirements, regulatory expectations, and long-term maintainability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical data solutions.
• Proficiency in reading and writing SQL and Python.
It is beneficial if you also have:
• Experience in banking, finance, or another regulated industry.
• Familiarity with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Composer/Airflow, and Dataform/DBT, or with comparable cloud data platforms.
• Experience building ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Knowledge of data governance, regulatory reporting, or frameworks such as BCBS 239.
