The Role
You'll be the second person in BCB's data function, working directly with the Head of Data & Analytics. You'll own reports and dbt models end-to-end, from source to dashboard, and help move our reporting onto Omni. We run AI-heavy workflows, which means less time on repetitive coding and more time directing and reviewing work, and collaborating on problems that need thinking through.
Stack: BigQuery (GCP), dbt, Omni, n8n, git.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain dbt models and Omni dashboards
- Take loosely defined requests from business teams, work out what they actually need, and deliver it
- Investigate data issues down to the root cause and fix them at the source
- Write tests and documentation so others can trust your numbers
- Update and deliver regulatory reports
Must have
- Hands-on experience with Omni
- 2+ years in an analytics/data role within a Modern Data Stack
- Hands-on SQL, dbt, and git
About you
- Meticulous with numbers: you check your own work, and when something looks off, you can’t leave it alone until you know why
- Comfortable using AI to streamline work
- You can explain a technical data problem to a non-technical colleague
- Comfortable with ambiguity and operating in a small team
- Can commute to our London office 1-2 days per week
Bonus points for
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g. Economics, Maths, Computer Science)
- Python or other programming languages
- n8n or other low-code automation
- Payments, banking, fintech or crypto domain knowledge
- Experience with regulatory or financial reporting
- Basic statistics
Interview Process
Following an initial screening call with one of our People Team, you can expect 3 interview stages:
- a technical and behavioural conversation with the Head of Data including live SQL
- a session with stakeholders from the teams you would work with
- a final, onsite interview with the Head of Data and Chief Technology Officer
What's in it for you
- Salary range: £40,000 - £50,000pa
- 30 days holiday, plus 4 wellbeing days, 1 volunteering day, and flexible bank holiday options
- Salary sacrifice pension scheme
- AXA health insurance
- Income protection
- Life assurance
- Hybrid working (1-2 days in the office)
- Enhanced parental support and leave
- Salary sacrifice nursery scheme, and cycle to work scheme
