Network & Systems Administrator
Pay Range: $100,000 - $120,000/year
Position Summary
The Network & Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the organization's network infrastructure, servers, cloud services, and core technology systems. This role serves as a key technical resource for ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations while supporting strategic technology initiatives.
The position works closely with Help Desk, Security, and IT leadership to maintain high system availability, improve performance, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Network Administration
- Manage and maintain LAN, WAN, wireless, and VPN environments.
- Configure and support network switches, routers, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standards.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers.
Systems Administration
- Administer Windows Server environments.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity services.
- Support virtualization platforms and server infrastructure.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Support Microsoft 365 and cloud-based services.
- Administer Azure or other cloud environments.
- Monitor system performance and capacity planning.
- Implement infrastructure improvements and automation.
Security
- Collaborate with Security Administrator on compliance and security initiatives.
- Implement security controls and best practices.
- Assist with vulnerability remediation and system hardening.
- Participate in incident response activities.
Support & Project Work
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalation support.
- Participate in infrastructure and technology projects.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of network and systems administration experience.
- Experience with: • Windows Server
- Active Directory
- Microsoft 365
- Networking technologies (switching, routing, firewalls)
- Virtualization platforms
- Backup and recovery solutions
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Azure cloud services.
- Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell).
- Security and compliance experience.
- Industry certifications such as: • Network+
