As a Retail Systems QA Engineer, you'll help deliver innovative in-store solutions that power our supermarkets, fuel centers, and food service operations while ensuring a seamless experience for both customers and store hosts.
The Retail Systems QA Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of in-store retail technology solutions. This position develops test plans and performs testing to ensure retail systems meet functional, security, compliance, and quality standards. Additionally, the Retail Systems QA Engineer documents test configurations, procedures, and results while collaborating with project teams to identify, troubleshoot, and reproduce defects in support of successful product releases.
This role supports the In-Store Retail Systems team through hands-on testing conducted in a dedicated retail lab. The environment includes a wide range of retail technologies across supermarket, fuel, and food service operations, including traditional cashier lanes, self-checkout systems (Toshiba SA and Toshiba ELERA), mobile POS solutions, fuel pump systems (Excentus), and restaurant/grocerant platforms (Oracle Symphony).
In addition to POS platforms, this position tests integrated retail applications and devices such as DSD workstations, sign and label software, Zebra handheld devices running SPA, MOM, EMA, and other operational systems. As both a Toshiba SA/ELERA customer and an in-house software developer, the team validates vendor-delivered software packages and internally developed applications, requiring thorough end-to-end testing across complex system integrations.
This position provides exposure to diverse retail technologies and enterprise systems while offering opportunities to develop new technical skills, broaden QA expertise, and pursue career growth within the Retail Systems team.
