We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a Renewals Delivery Manager to join the Connect Hamilton Alliance.
Connect Hamilton is a collaborative working agreement between Hamilton City Council and Downer, responsible for the planning and delivery of most transportation-related physical works across Hamilton, including maintenance and renewal activities. As the Renewals Delivery Manager you'll lead the planning, development and delivery readiness of the renewals programme, ensuring projects are forecasted and prepared for successful handover to Project Engineers.
But let's dig a little deeper, you will also:
- Lead the development of a forward works programme, ensuring projects are sufficiently scoped, investigated, budgeted and delivery-ready.
- Coordinate planning, design and stakeholder inputs to support successful project delivery.
- Work closely with Asset Management, Design and Delivery teams to align programmes with network priorities and asset outcomes.
- Manage programme-level financial tracking, forecasting and reporting.
- Provide coaching, mentoring and practical support to Project Engineers while maintaining accountability within delivery teams.
- Facilitate smooth project handovers, ensuring scope, budgets, risks and delivery requirements are clearly understood.
- Build strong relationships across Hamilton City Council, Downer and Alliance partners to drive successful outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, performance and programme delivery.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Hamilton.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- 5+ years' experience in civil infrastructure, renewals, construction or network maintenance.
- Strong planning, delivery management and financial forecasting capability.
- Experience developing projects and preparing them for successful handover into delivery.
- Experience working closely with Asset management and Design teams.
- Proven ability to mentor and support team members
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- Confidence giving and receiving feedback while building trusted relationships.
- Relevant engineering, construction management or project management qualifications are desirable but not essential
