Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Data and Billing Analyst to join our team of reporting experts. In this role, you will model and analyze both structured and unstructured datasets. Your primary focus will be developing metrics, reports, and visualizations that uncover trends and patterns to drive business decisions. Also, you will identify data from internal and external sources, ensure consistency across ongoing projects, and troubleshoot billing discrepancies.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Create and monitor monthly reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) using Excel and Google Sheets.
- Perform in-depth invoice analysis across various languages and troubleshoot technical issues within complex bill files.
- Use statistical modeling techniques to analyze data patterns and develop actionable insights.
- Conduct rigorous QA on datasets to identify potential gaps, anomalies, or inaccuracies in financial records.
- Collaborate with data, analytics, and financial experts to enhance the functionality and automation of our internal data systems.
- Extract and transform data from multiple sources, ensuring it is formatted for high-level executive review.
- Support the team with "other duties as required," adapting to the shifting needs of a fast-paced reporting environment.
Scope of Work
- Creative Problem Solving: Use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex billing and data issues in creative, effective ways.
- In-Depth Evaluation: Analyze complex situations where multiple variable factors require deep dive evaluation to determine the best course of action.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain productive internal and external working relationships to streamline data collection and billing inquiries.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Advanced Spreadsheet Expertise: Mastery of Excel/Google Sheets, including: VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Index/Match, Pivot Tables, and conditional formatting.Proficiency in statistical and logical formulas (COUNTIFS, SUMIFS, IF statements)
- Analytical Rigor: Proven ability to independently analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, gaps, and patterns.
- Attention to Detail: A high level of precision is required for monthly invoice reconciliation and financial auditing.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Judgment: Ability to exercise sound judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate actions for data discrepancies.
- Financial Literacy: Prior experience in a billing, accounts receivable, or financial analyst role.
- Multilingual Capability: Ability to interpret and analyze invoices in languages other than English is a significant.
