We're looking for a Payments Business Analyst who will play a key role in shaping and delivering innovative payment solutions for top-tier financial institutions, driving efficiency, compliance and customer experience in an increasingly digital ecosystem. We help them rethink and shape their payments strategy, operations, and architecture to stay ahead of evolving customer expectations and technological innovation. Your skills and qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of business English and Dutch or French
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within Financial Services, with exposure to payments.
- Fluency in English and Dutch or French
- Solid understanding of payment processes (SEPA, SWIFT, cards, instant payments, reconciliation flows).
- Experience in regulatory or industry standards such as PSD2, ISO 20022, or open banking APIs is an advantage.
- Proven ability to gather requirements, guide workshops, and translate business needs into functional specifications.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence).
What will you do?As a Payments Business Analyst, you will operate at the intersection of business and technology, translating client needs into impactful solutions across payments transformation programmes. You will:
- Review and document business requirements related to payments domains such as SEPA, SWIFT, cards, instant payments, and open banking.
- Act as the bridge between stakeholders (business, IT, vendors, regulators), ensuring alignment and clarity throughout project lifecycles.
- Support implementation of payment platforms, core banking transformations, and regulatory-driven initiatives (e.g. PSD2, ISO 20022 migration).
- Facilitate workshops, define functional specifications, and validate solutions through testing and acceptance phases.
- Contribute to process optimisation and digital innovation initiatives within payments operations.
- Stay on top of market trends, technologies, and regulatory developments within the European payments landscape.
