As a Backend Developer, you will play a key role in designing and developing the services that power our payment platform. Working with Golang, you will build scalable APIs, improve existing applications, and develop new features that enable customers worldwide to deliver seamless payment experiences.

You enjoy solving technical challenges, writing clean and maintainable code, and working on software that has a real-world impact. Together with colleagues across Product, Hardware, and Engineering, you will contribute to innovative payment solutions while continuously improving the performance, reliability, and scalability of our platform.

Responsibilities include

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Golang.
  • Build and maintain robust APIs that integrate with our payment platform.
  • Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Optimize existing applications for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Contribute to the architecture and continuous improvement of our backend systems.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and resolve technical issues throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in backend development.

  • Proven experience in a similar Backend Developer role.
  • Strong proficiency in Golang (required).
  • Experience with Java is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
  • Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is an advantage.
  • Experience with RESTful API development and backend architecture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Dutch is a plus.
