ABOUT THE JOB
As a Technical Business Analyst within NAB, you’ll assists with the decomposition of work, writing Business Outcomes, Epics, Features, and User Stories so that their squad clearly articulates value, acceptance criteria, and estimates to get their work done. They support decision making with clear, insightful analysis, which allows the Product Owner to make decisions on ideation viability, sequencing, and shaping business context.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure Delivery and Technology teams understand the business value, intent and priority of each requirement and user story being delivered.
- Partner with the Product Owner and business stakeholders to elicit, analyse, document and communicate business requirements, ensuring alignment to the product vision and value outcomes.
- Support the Product Owner in defining the value of features and user stories, including facilitating backlog prioritisation and influencing decisions based on business value.
- Translate customer, end-user and stakeholder insights into clear epics, features and user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria that are understood by Technology teams and traceable to business outcomes.
- Conduct data mapping and data processing analysis to support requirement definition, solution design and delivery readiness.
- Perform scenario, policy, customer, data, gap and change impact analysis to articulate business needs and define solution requirements.
- Develop current-state and future-state process models, data models, business rules, workflows, target operating models, reporting requirements and other analysis outputs as required.
- Capture, refine and groom requirements into epics, features, user stories and dependencies in collaboration with business stakeholders, Product Owners and Technology squads.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to support product readiness activities, ensuring requirements, impacts and delivery considerations are clearly understood before implementation.
- Fulfil other tasks as assigned by your People Leader and/or authorized representative of NAB Vietnam from time to time.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Must have
- Having 7+ years’ work experience as a Technical Business Analyst
- Strong understanding of financial products, business workflows, processes and systems across domains such as payments, digital, fraud and financial crime.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex processes, issues and requirements through structured analysis, problem-solving and clear communication.
- Extensive experience working in Agile delivery environments, with familiarity in human-centred design techniques and iterative delivery practices.
- Experience supporting strategic artefacts, request for proposal materials, roadmap packs and initiative planning documentation.
- Ability to translate a product or business vision into a well-structured backlog of epics, features, user stories and sprint goals that can be understood by business and Technology teams.
Nice-to-have
- Experience or knowledge of BABOK® Knowledge Areas
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in IT, Business, Computer Science, or related area
- Experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry
- Any additional certification or training in BA, PO, UX or related area (e.g. PSPO, CSPO, CBAP)
