ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Join our Commercial Finance team as a Commercial Finance Analyst supporting the Commercial Software function. You’ll partner directly with the Global CTO and leadership team, turning financial, investment, and performance data into actionable insights that shape business decisions. This is a highly visible role where you'll influence investment priorities, drive financial performance, and help create greater transparency across a growing technology environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the Global CTO and leadership team as the primary finance contact, translating financial information into actionable business insights.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the Commercial Software teams.
- Deliver month-end reporting, variance analysis, and commentary on actual versus budget and forecast performance.
- Monitor and report on key software commercial KPIs, including headcount, cloud spend, SaaS licensing, and project profitability.
- Develop financial models, investment appraisals, and business cases to support strategic decision-making.
- Support capital expenditure and operating expenditure classification and development cost capitalisation activities.
- Constructively challenge cost and investment decisions to maximise business value and returns.
- Improve reporting processes, data quality, and operational efficiency through the use of BI tools and best practices.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and commercial support for initiatives, contracts, and pricing decisions.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- 3+ years PQE.
- Proven experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, or business partnering roles.
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
- Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
- Strong financial modelling capability.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Commercially minded with strong analytical capability.
- Experience supporting Commercial Software, Product, Engineering teams, or senior technology leaders.
- Understanding of development cost capitalisation and SaaS revenue/cost metrics.
- Experience in a technology or SaaS business preferred.
- Power BI or similar BI/reporting tool experience preferred.
- Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT.
