Full description

Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Systems Analyst. This position supports Elite 3E and related financial applications as part of the IT Financial Systems team. The Senior Financial Systems Analyst partners closely with Finance and Accounting to resolve production issues, support integrations, manage system changes, and improve day-to-day financial systems support. The role also supports source-data research, approved extracts, and downstream reporting impacts in coordination with the reporting team.

The ideal candidate understands law firm or professional-services financial processes and has experience supporting enterprise financial management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Elite 3E and related financial applications.
  • Troubleshoot complex application, workflow, integration, data, and production-support issues.
  • Support core financial processes, including time entry, billing, rates, accounts receivable, cash receipts, collections, accounts payable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation.
  • Use SQL to research issues, validate data, and support approved corrections and business requests.
  • Support 3E configuration, workflows, templates, notifications, security, scheduled processes, and related settings.
  • Monitor and support integrations between Elite 3E and related time-entry, expense, collections, banking, HR, reporting, and matter-management applications.
  • Partner with business, application, integration, and technical teams to resolve cross-system issues and support system changes.
  • Support testing, implementation, deployment, and post-production validation for updates, patches, enhancements, upgrades, and Financial Systems projects.
  • Assist with source-data research, approved extracts, and reporting impacts in coordination with the reporting team.
  • Support month-end, year-end, billing, and other critical financial-processing periods, including occasional after-hours support.
  • Manage vendor support cases, document key changes and procedures, and identify opportunities to simplify or automate routine support activities.
  • Other duties as needed to fully meet the requirements of the role.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting financial systems in a law firm or professional-services environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Elite 3E, Aderant, or a comparable enterprise financial management system; Elite 3E experience preferred.
  • Strong T-SQL skills and experience with Microsoft SQL Server, relational databases, data validation, and approved data corrections.
  • Understanding of law firm financial processes, including billing, time entry, rates, accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, and general ledger.
  • Experience troubleshooting applications, workflows, scheduled processes, integrations, interfaces, and production-support issues.
  • Experience testing, implementing, and supporting application changes, patches, upgrades, enhancements, data conversions, and integrations.
  • Familiarity with Elite 3E configuration tools, Integration Builder, reporting/data platforms, automation tools, IT service management, incident management, or formal change control preferred.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, prioritization, documentation, follow-through, and judgment skills, with willingness to provide occasional after-hours support.

Salary

Chicago & DC Only DOE: $120,000 - $140,000
