Requirements
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in digital product design and is fluent in Figma with a portfolio demonstrating complex workflow simplification. You must be based in Buenos Aires, possess a valid visa for US travel, and have experience with AI-driven feature integration.
Benefits
Full description
ShipHero builds the software that runs warehouses. More than 5,000 warehouses in North America and beyond use it to receive, pick, pack, ship, and return over 100 million shipments a year.
We have a lab in Buenos Aires where we prototype new ways for people and technology to interact on the warehouse floor. We're looking for a designer who'll challenge what we have and push it forward.
Who you’ll be designing for
Your users are warehouse workers that are walking, lifting, and holding a mobile scanner in one hand and a box in another. They are measured on speed, so if an extra step or scan in your flow costs time and effort, they'll skip it entirely. And you can’t validate any of this from Figma because you have to watch someone do it at 4pm on a Friday with 800 orders left to ship.
If all this sounds like the most interesting design problem you've heard in a while, keep reading.
What you'll do
- Own workflows end-to-end with Product and Engineering. From 'is this even necessary?' through shipped and measured.
- Go to warehouses to watch people work, and then come back with a different opinion than the one you left with.
- Design dynamic, context-aware flows for scanners, mobile, desktop, and increasingly hardware-integrated surfaces.
- Push our design system forward so it scales across all of that.
- Use AI tools to raise the bar on what we ship. That includes figuring out where AI actually helps versus where it just gets in the way.
What we're looking for
- You’re based in Buenos Aires. We're remote-first, but we usually sketch, argue, and prototype around a table.
- You have a valid visa or ESTA to enter the US. Customer visits are part of the job.
- You have 5+ years designing digital products.
- You’re fluent in Figma.
- You have a portfolio that shows you can simplify complicated workflows and data-heavy interfaces.
- You have experience integrating AI-driven features.
- You don’t need a pixel-perfect spec to start working. We move fast and iterate.
- You can hold a whole system in your head and still care about the wording on a button.
- You feel comfortable with data: analytics, success metrics, and evidence-based decisions.
- You can kill your own ideas when the floor disagrees with them.
Our deal
- Independent contractor, paid monthly in USD.
- The company provides equipment you need to be happy at your job.
- PTO + holidays.
- Mandatory fun time. We mean it. Work-life balance in spades.
Our core values

Our process
Portfolio conversation → Problem-solving conversation → Session with product and engineering → Final conversation.
We don't do unpaid design challenges, since we'd rather talk through real work you've already done.
