About the Role

Bridor USA is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join its Capital Projects team. This position will represent Bridor’s interests throughout the planning, construction, installation, startup, and closeout phases of large industrial and food-manufacturing projects.

The Construction Project Manager will primarily focus on capital projects in Salt Lake City, including closing Certificate of Occupancy on Bridor newly commissioned greenfield site then continue managing the construction of Bridor’s next planned production lines.

This is a hands-on, owner-side construction project management role. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in the field, managing general contractor, tracking project schedules, following up on construction scope items, resolving conflicts, and coordinating work across multidisciplinary teams both internal and external.

Location and Travel Requirements

This position is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Candidates currently located in the Salt Lake City area are preferred. Candidates outside the area must be willing to relocate to Salt Lake City immediately upon accepting the position.

Travel to other Bridor sites will be required as needed based on the responsibilities of the role and active project demands. Travel frequency will vary according to project phases, construction schedules, installation requirements, and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage industrial construction and capital-improvement projects from planning through final closeout.
  • Serve as Bridor’s on-site owner representative and help ensure construction work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to approved specifications.
  • Take ownership of outstanding items from current capital projects and drive them through resolution to final closeout.
  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules for construction activities, corrective work, inspections, installations, and project milestones.
  • Coordinate and follow up with general contractors, subcontractors, engineering firms, equipment suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Track open project items, assign accountability, establish completion dates, and escalate risks or delays when necessary.
  • Review construction progress and verify that completed work aligns with project scope, drawings, specifications, food-safety requirements, and Bridor standards.
  • Support contractor selection, bid evaluation, scope development, contract administration, and change-order review.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, commitments, and potential cost or schedule risks.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Food Safety and Quality, Sanitation, and other internal teams.
  • Coordinate building, utility, and site readiness for process-equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and production startup.
  • Support the continued development and improvement of Bridor’s construction and building standards.
  • Maintain accurate project records, progress reports, meeting notes, schedules, action logs, and closeout documentation.
  • Establish productive relationships with stakeholders who may not report directly to the position and use influence, credibility, and follow-through to keep projects moving.
  • Travel to other Bridor facilities when required by project and business needs.

Initial Priorities

During the initial onboarding period, the Construction Project Manager will:

  • Become familiar with Bridor’s Salt Lake City facility, operations, project standards, and Capital Projects team.
  • Review outstanding construction and punch-list items associated with current and recently completed projects.
  • Create organized schedules and action trackers to drive open items toward completion.
  • Establish working relationships with Bridor’s internal teams, engineering partners, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Help relieve plant and engineering leaders from the daily follow-up required to achieve a disciplined and timely project closeout.
  • Begin supporting planning and construction-readiness activities for the next Salt Lake City production lines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical or STEM field
  • Approximately 4–7 years of experience managing industrial manufacturing complex construction projects
  • Experience managing contractors through bidding, construction, commissioning, and closeout
  • Demonstrated ability to create and manage schedules, budgets, punch lists, action logs, and project documentation
  • Working knowledge of industrial building systems, utilities, equipment installation, and construction sequencing
  • Understanding of job-site safety requirements and contractor-safety expectations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant construction project-management software
  • Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and influence stakeholders who do not report directly to the position
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond appropriately as project and business needs change
  • Willingness and ability to travel to other Bridor sites as required
  • Current Salt Lake City residency or willingness to relocate to Salt Lake City immediately

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction project management experience within food and beverage manufacturing, industrial bakery, food processing, or another regulated manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting greenfield construction, plant expansions, or new production-line installations
  • Knowledge of food-safety, hygienic-design, sanitation, and clean-construction requirements
  • Experience coordinating facility and utility readiness for process-equipment installation and commissioning
  • Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, risk management, change control, and project-closeout practices
  • Previous experience working in an owner-side or client-side capital-project role
