Position Summary: The Business Development Operations Analyst is a hybrid operations and analytics role that supports the Business Development (BD) organization through Customer Relationship Management (CRM) administration, market intelligence, reporting, and coordination of key business processes. This position enables data-driven decision-making while ensuring efficient execution of BD operations, including pipeline management, reporting, and cross-functional coordination.

Business Operations & Coordination

  • Coordinates and manages BD team calendars, meetings, and key events (e.g., weekly accountability meetings, customer questionnaires, gate reviews, and forecast planning sessions)
  • Prepares agendas, captures action items, and tracks follow-ups to ensure accountability and execution
  • Plans and executes internal and external meetings, including logistics, travel coordination, materials preparation, and on-site support
  • Supports travel coordination for BD leadership, including reservations and expense reporting
  • Manages office and operational supplies for the BD organization
  • Coordinates tradeshow and event participation, including scheduling, logistics, registration, and material preparation
  • Tracks and reports tradeshow investments and outcomes to inform future event strategy

CRM, Data Integrity & Reporting

  • Serves as CRM Administrator (Microsoft Dynamics 365), managing system configuration, user support, and enhancements
  • Drives CRM data quality, consistency, and adoption across the BD organization
  • Develops and maintains dashboards, reports, and automated workflows to support pipeline visibility and forecasting
  • Produces and distributes recurring reports, including weekly leadership reporting and pipeline reports
  • Supports development and distribution of financial, pipeline, and performance reports
  • Maintains BD processes and track/report AS9100 metrics

Market Research & Analysis

  • Delivers market research and analysis to support pipeline development, opportunity identification, capture strategy, and account planning
  • Analyzes data from industry events, conferences, and customer engagements to generate actionable insights
  • Collaborates with BD leadership to define and prioritize intelligence needs
  • Serves as liaison for research tools (e.g., GovWin), optimizing usage, coordinating training, and recommending enhancements

Proposal & Business Development Support

  • Provides surge support to the Proposal Center and BD managers for RFIs, RFPs, and Sources Sought responses, including writing, editing, and coordination
  • Supports Strategic Integrated Operating Plan (SIOP) activities and related forecasting efforts
  • Maintains effective communication and coordination with cross-functional teams (e.g., Program Management, Engineering, Operations)
  • Contributes to continuous improvement of BD processes, tools, and reporting capabilities

Success in This Role Includes:

  • Delivering accurate, timely, and actionable pipeline and CRM reporting to support leadership decision-making
  • Maintaining high data integrity and user adoption within CRM systems
  • Ensuring efficient and well-coordinated BD operations, meetings, and planning processes
  • Producing meaningful market insights that influence BD strategy and opportunity positioning
  • Proactively identifying process improvements and implementing scalable solutions
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
  • 5+ years experience in government markets or related fields (business development, market research, capture, or analysis) preferred
  • Experience with CRM systems (administrator-level preferred), including Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint

Additional Requirements

  • Travel, less than 10%
  • Operates with a high degree of independence while supporting BD leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Balances strategic analytical work with operational and coordination responsibilities
  • Adapts to evolving business priorities and supports multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Security clearance requirements (or ability to obtain)
  • Passport or work authorization requirements to work in the US

Working Conditions

  • 8 am – 5 pm; flexible based on business needs
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating office equipment
  • Ability to view computer screens for extended periods, with close vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching within the office environment and on aircraft
  • Ability to lift and move items up to approximately 10–20 pounds (e.g., files, office supplies)
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to maintain focus and perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail
  • Regularly works in office environment and around aircraft hangars

Pay Band $54,520 - 75,880. Starting pay is determined by experience, qualifications, and internal equity, and typically falls between the minimum and midpoint of the pay range.
