Anglicare are currently seeking to hire a Business Analyst to join our projects team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The overall purpose of the Business Analyst is to support the business in ensuring successful project execution of key projects aligned to Anglicare Queensland’s Strategy – including the Digital Strategy. This role is a fixed term salaried contract and will not be paid as a day rate.
Under the direction of the Head of Transformation, the Business Analyst will:
- Engage stakeholders and apply a structured approach for the collection, documentation and analysis of business needs and desired outcomes
- Elicit and document requirements by reviewing existing documentation and running requirements gathering workshops
- Facilitate business process improvement workshops
- Document information and procedures utilising BPMN
- Undertake business process analysis and redesign in collaboration with the business through the review and amendment of existing As-Is / To-Be business processes and workflows
- Work with the business to review and amend existing procedure manuals and guides
- Perform gap analysis & impact assessments
- Assist in writing project artefacts such as business case, scoping documents, user stories and test scenarios etc.
- Support all stages of testing of the solution against the requirements
What our team are looking for
- Current National Police Certificate
- Current Queensland Driver Licence and own reliable vehicle
- Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or significant experience within these fields.
- Ability and willingness to travel within the service region
- Demonstrated experience in the fields of: stakeholder management and liaison, business process review and improvement, requirements definition, business case development, and vendor management
- Strong analytical skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- High level problem solving and organisational skills including the ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail
- Ability to extract various needs of project stakeholders to formulate a single, consistent vision
- High level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Consults and shares information and ensures others are kept informed of the issues
- Ability to work autonomously, develops realistic plans for achieving goals and monitors and reports on progress effectively
