KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Lead the architecture and technical definition of electrical power infrastructure for complex data center and mission-critical projects.
  • Develop end-to-end electrical architectures covering:
  • Utility power interfaces
  • Medium-voltage distribution
  • Low-voltage distribution
  • Transformers
  • Switchgear
  • UPS systems
  • Battery energy storage
  • Generator systems
  • Paralleling systems
  • Automatic transfer systems
  • Power distribution units
  • Remote power panels
  • Busway systems
  • Rack-level power distribution
  • Define scalable and resilient power architectures based on customer capacity, redundancy and availability requirements.
  • Lead electrical system sizing and capacity planning.
  • Develop electrical conceptual designs and single-line diagrams.
  • Determine power distribution paths, equipment architecture and cable distribution concepts.
  • Evaluate electrical infrastructure technologies and recommend the optimum architecture for technical performance, resilience, scalability and commercial value.
  • Support analysis of electrical efficiency and data center power performance.

Customer Engagement & Solution Pursuit

  • Act as the senior power technical authority during strategic customer engagements.
  • Engage directly with customer engineering, electrical, facilities and infrastructure teams.
  • Lead technical workshops, solution presentations and architecture discussions.
  • Understand customer power requirements, identify gaps and recommend optimized infrastructure solutions.
  • Challenge traditional architectures where appropriate and introduce alternative solutions that improve availability, efficiency, scalability or total cost of ownership.
  • Support strategic pursuits from early opportunity qualification through proposal development and customer presentations.

Solution Development & Proposal Support

  • Lead the creation, review and approval of electrical architectures, single-line diagrams, conceptual designs, equipment selection, technical specifications, technical proposals, system sizing documentation and customer presentations.
  • Work with estimating and commercial teams to develop BOMs and technically accurate quotations.
  • Support cost, margin and commercial analysis.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party electrical infrastructure components where required.
  • Ensure proposed solutions comply with relevant local electrical codes, standards and regulatory requirements.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with the Thermal Solutions Architect to develop integrated data center infrastructure solutions.
  • Work with Engineering teams to translate customer requirements and conceptual architectures into executable solutions.
  • Provide technical mentorship and leadership to solution architects and engineering teams.
  • Support Sales teams with technical training and solution enablement.
  • Provide market and customer insights to influence product and solution development.
  • Participate in key customer meetings, industry forums, technical seminars and strategic events.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Typically 12–20+ years of progressive experience in electrical power systems, mission-critical infrastructure or data center power architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting complex electrical infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong expertise in UPS systems, LV/MV distribution, switchgear, transformers, generator systems and mission-critical power architectures.
  • Strong understanding of redundancy and availability architectures, including N, N+1 and 2N concepts.
  • Experience working directly with hyperscale, colocation, enterprise or telecom customers.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to optimize solutions based on technical and business requirements.
  • Excellent customer engagement, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to lead complex technical discussions with senior engineering stakeholders.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a data center OEM, electrical power OEM, EPC, electrical consultancy, hyperscaler or colocation provider.
  • Experience in global data center projects.
  • Experience in high-density computing and AI data center power requirements.
  • Experience integrating conventional power infrastructure with emerging technologies such as battery energy storage and alternative power architectures.
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical teams.
