About the role

CTS Security are a well established commercial and domestic fire and security provider with over 50 years of industry experience so far. They specialise in the design, installation, maintenance, and monitoring of integrated life-safety and electronic security systems. Due to recent company growth, they are now looking to recruit a brand new apprentice fire and security engineer to join their team!
Job Description
As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:
- Access Control
- Video Surveillance
- Intruder Alarms
- Fire Alarms
Pay will be reviewed during regular performance reviews throughout the apprenticeship.
Entry Requirements
- A UK drivers license is required due to the travel requirements of the role
- Ideally live within close proximity to Kings Lynn
- Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS background check
- Must be comfortable working at height due to the nature of the role
- Maths and English at grade 4 GCSE (or equivalent) or above
- Comfortable with overnight stays for college block-release weeks (1 week in every 8 weeks, more detail further down this page)
- Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
- Electrical, engineering or power tool experience would be a bonus
Training to be Provided
This is where you'll learn the skills that employers actually want.
Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.
You’ll train through block release at our Watford centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).
You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
