About the role
The Structural Engineer will serve as the lead and Engineer of Record for mission-critical data center projects, overseeing structural analysis and design. They will also direct junior staff, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and conduct site visits to ensure design intent and constructability.

What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in structural design, analysis, and project delivery, and will serve as the structural lead and Engineer of Record for Mission Critical/Data Centers projects. This role is ideal for a licensed engineer who thrives in a technical leadership position, enjoys mentoring junior staff, and collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as Structural Lead and Engineer of Record for
projects
- Performs and oversees structural analysis and design of
steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation structures
- Directs and mentors Junior Engineers and Structural
Designers, providing technical guidance and quality control
- Prepares and reviews calculations, drawings,
specifications, and technical reports for accuracy and constructability
- Coordinates with architects, contractors, and other
engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery
- Provides technical guidance on project scope, budgets,
and schedules for assignments
- Conducts site visits and construction observations to
support design intent and resolve field issues
- Completes assignments within budget and schedule while
working with design teams involving multiple disciplines
- Provides career development mentoring to early-career
engineers
- Assists in client contact and communication, and
attends client meetings
- Remains informed of new developments and requirements
affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs or applications
- Assists with the preparation of proposals
- Stays current with applicable codes, standards, and
best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Performs other duties as required
Education & Experience Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on Structures from an ABET accredited university
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering strongly
preferred
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects
from concept to completion
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- Structural Engineer (SE) registration strongly
preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience, 10+ years
preferred
- Experience with Mission Critical/Data Center projects
Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and
interpret job-related manuals and documents
- Proficiency with Microsoft
Office Suite
- Experience with Autodesk
Revit
- Strong knowledge of building
codes (IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI)
- Excellent communication,
leadership, and problem-solving skills

- Mentors early-career engineers

- Walk, sit, and stand. Occasionally reach with hands, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Occasionally climb 25-30 feet. Occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. Visual acuity sufficient to read alpha/
numeric symbols for computation and design.

arise.
