Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of new and revised Citizens personal/commercial insurance products.
Job Duties:
- Reviews results, data, market research, internal and external feedback, and other information and provides reports or other relevant material in support of product changes and other action plans to improve Citizens’ financial results and ensure Citizens’ products are appropriate to its role in the market. Supports the development and presentation of appropriate recommendations to department management, as needed.
- Conducts and analyzes market research, incorporates other information, and updates databases, as appropriate.
- Provides support to cross-functional teams to implement product changes and other plans to support Citizens’ strategy. Assists in the submission and quality review of rate, rule and forms filings. Provides reports, data or other information to support the development and presentation of appropriate recommendations to department management.
- Reviews communications and provides feedback to ensure successful communication of product information and changes to internal and external stakeholders. Supports the development and presentation of training sessions.
- May provide input in the performance management, goal setting and review processes.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma | GED
- Bachelor’s Degree OR 3 years relevant experience, OR a combination of college education and relevant experience equivalent to 3 years.
AND
- 3 or more years of personal/commercial insurance experience in the areas of product development, claims, contract analysis and/or underwriting.
Preferred Experience/Education:
- Possession of IIA Certificate in General Insurance, CPCU or an associate designation.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5 or more years of personal/commercial property insurance experience in the areas of product development, claims, contract analysis and/or underwriting.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- A solid working knowledge of one of the following insurance disciplines: product management, claims, contract analysis, or underwriting.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft products and other data and system tools.
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
