Full description

The Role

mpro5 is a frontline compliance platform trusted by multi-site organisations including Tesco, Compass Group, Northern Rail, and Booker Group. We help operations and compliance teams replace disconnected spreadsheets, paper forms, and siloed apps with one connected platform that covers tasks, compliance, communication, and learning.

We're entering an exciting new chapter as a company and are looking for a Junior Solutions Architect to join our team. As a Junior Solutions Architect, you'll learn to design and implement mpro5 solutions that meet our customers' specific business needs. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility from day one: you'll work on live customer projects, supported and mentored by our Senior Solutions Architect, and build towards owning solution design end-to-end.

It's a great fit if you're a recent computer science (or related) graduate, or have a year or two of experience in software, and want to work at the point where technology meets real business problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support requirements-gathering sessions with mid- to large-enterprise customers, and over time lead these conversations yourself.
  • Configure and implement business logic in mpro5 using SQL, including writing stored procedures, with guidance from senior team members.
  • Learn the mpro5 platform inside out so you can advise customers on the best way to achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the rest of the Customer Excellence team to ensure a consistent approach to quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain clear technical documentation for the solutions you build.
  • Work alongside our Customer Excellence Managers to deliver your work accurately and on time.
  • Follow QA processes to ensure all work is fully tested before it is released to the customer.

Skills & Experience

  • A degree in computer science or a related subject, or 1–2 years' experience in a technical role such as software development, implementation, or technical support.
  • Solid SQL fundamentals — you can write queries confidently and are keen to develop skills like stored procedures on the job. Practical experience is a plus, but strong academic or project work counts.
  • Genuine interest in working directly with customers: you can explain technical ideas in plain language and listen well.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Some familiarity with the software development life cycle and Agile ways of working.
  • Exposure to tools like Jira, Confluence, or Zendesk is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Most importantly: curiosity and a willingness to learn quickly. We'll teach you the platform and the craft — you bring the fundamentals and the appetite.
