The Opportunity
Cornell University's Office of the University Registrar is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Scheduling Systems Analyst and Academic Classroom Coordinator to join our Curriculum and Scheduling team.
This position plays an important role in supporting university-wide classroom scheduling, exam scheduling, space management, and data reporting. Working at the intersection of academic operations and analytics, you will leverage data to optimize classroom utilization, support institutional planning, improve business processes, and enhance the experience of students, faculty, and staff.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with complex data structures, translating information into actionable insights, and finding innovative solutions to operational challenges. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a collaborative and service-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:
- Manage classroom assignments using scheduling optimization tools and manual placement processes for Ithaca and Cornell Tech campuses
- Coordinate prelim and final exam scheduling, including common exams, and support departments, faculty, and students with resolving scheduling conflicts.
- Develop and deliver operational reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that support departmental, college, and institutional decision-making.
- Serve as a resource to a variety of stakeholders and projects with regard to academic scheduling data structures, systems, integrations, and relationships.
- Contribute to the development of a growing scheduling data mart in partnership with Cornell Information Technologies.
- Analyze scheduling and space utilization data to identify trends, opportunities, and process improvements.
- Coordinate with academic departments and faculty to resolve scheduling conflicts and special requests and ensure compliance with university policies.
- Collaborate with facilities staff, building coordinators, technology partners, and academic departments to ensure space information remains accurate and current
- Provide backup support for designated 25Live administration functions
- Assist faculty, staff, and students with scheduling-related questions, requests, and challenges.
About the Unit
The Cornell University Office of the University Registrar implements and monitors many academic and administrative policies in coordination with academic units, departments, colleges, and schools to facilitate faculty teaching and student learning. The Office of the University Registrar acts as the steward of academic and student information. The Office of the University Registrar champions the continuous renewal of student record systems, adapts operations to changing academic needs as well as federal, state, and institution policies, and evaluates administrative processes for streamlining and service improvements.
What We Need
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in a higher education student service office (such as a college registrar office).
- Extensive experience working with Series25 or similar room scheduling software, including expertise in using, administering, and supporting integrations related to the system.
- Experience working with Course/Class and Facilities data in Peoplesoft, Workday, or similar student information systems
- Demonstrated experience with data structures and proficiency in reporting and analyzing data; ability to create accurate and timely reports and data visualizations.
- Experience gathering and analyzing requirements for reports and system configuration; ability to provide guidance and recommendations, anticipate impacts, and develop testing and data validation use cases.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users, and to liaison effectively with multiple and diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with standard office software packages and reporting tools.
- Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
- Understanding of FERPA and other policies related to data privacy, and ability to interpret and apply policies to daily work: managing confidential information with discretion, integrity and professionalism.
- Outstanding customer service and attention to detail

- Advanced experience using and supporting administration of 25Live scheduling software
- Advanced experience with student information system (SIS) course, class, and facilities data; experience with SIS query functionality.
- Advanced experience creating deliverables for scheduling data analysis, including database reports and data visualization tools.
- Vendor relations experience.
- Familiarity with CourseLeaf CLSS module and Room Seek functionality
