Role: Business Analyst – Enterprise Performance Management (EPM)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced EPM Business Analyst to work closely with Finance, Business, and Technology teams to support the implementation, enhancement, and optimization of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Management Reporting and Consolidation, along with hands-on experience working with EPM platforms such as Oracle EPM / Hyperion, SAP BPC, Anaplan or similar solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a Finance-focused Business Analyst with strong EPM implementation experience, capable of bridging the gap between Finance stakeholders and technology teams. Candidates with pure technical EPM experience but limited business/Finance understanding may not be suitable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Finance and business stakeholders to understand requirements related to planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation and financial reporting.
  • Conduct requirement gathering, stakeholder discussions, process analysis and gap analysis.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Support EPM implementation, enhancement and transformation projects.
  • Work closely with developers/configuration teams to ensure requirements are correctly translated into EPM solutions.
  • Prepare BRDs, FRDs, process flows, functional specifications and test scenarios.
  • Support data mapping, data validation and integration requirements between EPM and source systems.
  • Coordinate SIT, UAT and defect resolution with business and technology teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant or Systems Analyst, preferably within Finance/EPM environments.
  • Strong understanding of FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial consolidation and management reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more EPM platforms:
  • Oracle EPM Cloud / Hyperion
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering and functional documentation.
  • Good understanding of financial data structures, dimensions, hierarchies and chart of accounts.
  • Experience with data mapping, reconciliation and system integrations.
  • Good knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
  • Experience in UAT/SIT, test case preparation and defect management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments is preferred.

Good to Have

  • Experience in banking or financial services.
  • Knowledge of IFRS, financial consolidation or regulatory reporting.
  • Experience with Finance transformation or EPM implementation projects.
  • Exposure to ETL/data integration tools and APIs.
