Position Summary:

The Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for supporting the organization’s strategy, architecture, operations, and governance of cybersecurity and technology infrastructure. This role requires a sophisticated blend of enterprise security architecture, high-level infrastructure engineering, and the management of a secure, scalable endpoint ecosystem. You will contribute to the design and implementation of secure, reliable, scalable, and high-performing systems across data centers, cloud platforms, networks, end-user computing, and mission-critical business systems.

Additionally, you will lead the end-to-end desktop support strategy, manage our computing fleet, and oversee provisioning and onboarding for new hires to ensure a secure, seamless start. By integrating proactive security measures—such as vulnerability management and incident response—with hands-on desktop lifecycle management, you will help maintain the integrity, availability, and performance of our entire technical infrastructure.

This position will collaborate closely with the Director of Infrastructure Services, technology teams, and business stakeholders to establish security standards, enforce controls, manage risk, and ensure operational excellence. The role demands a balance of hands-on technical leadership, strategic planning, and strong governance discipline.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the organization’s cybersecurity strategy, policies, and governance framework.
  • Support vulnerability management, threat detection, incident response, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Perform security risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards and
  • Implement security best practices for identity, access management, data protection, and network security.
  • Administer and optimize cybersecurity tools and platforms.
  • Support security awareness training and promote a security-first culture
  • Assist with system architecture, operations, and optimization of on-prem, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Help establish cybersecurity roadmaps aligned to business priorities.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, incident resolution, and continuous improvement efforts across infrastructure and security domains.
  • Infrastructure & Desktop Management: Administer and optimize core systems, including servers, networks, and cloud environments (e.g., Azure, M365). Act as the Tier III escalation point for complex technical issues affecting end-user devices.
  • Provisioning and Onboarding: Automate and manage the new hire provisioning process, including hardware imaging, user account creation, and role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Strategic Endpoint Management: Design and optimize automated desktop provisioning systems to streamline new hire onboarding while maintaining strict compliance.
  • Lifecycle & Support Oversight: Direct the management of the organization’s hardware, ensuring patch management, encryption, and identity management are seamless and secure.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 4-6 years of IT leadership experience, specializing in cybersecurity and infrastructure oversight.
  • Proven experience working on enterprise networks, servers, cloud platforms, and security operations.
  • Experience designing and implementing security frameworks and governance programs.
  • Experience leading complex technology projects and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical risk into business impact.
  • Certifications preferred (one or more): Security+, Network+, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, CEH, AWS/Azure certifications, ITIL, PMP.
