About Job
As a Technical Writer Intern on the client delivery team, you will support the project documentation function by researching, drafting, and formatting content across the project lifecycle-design review documents, project reports, product manuals, SOPs, and handover material. Working under project management and alongside engineering teams, this is a hands-on role suited to someone early in their career who wants to build expertise in deep-tech and government/defence projects.
Skills & Qualification
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Strong written English with excellent grammar, clarity, and structure.
- Comfortable working with technical/engineering content, even without prior domain expertise (space, defense, aerospace, or deep-tech background is a plus).
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Workspace; familiarity with tools like Confluence, Notion, or similar is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple documents and deadlines with attention to detail.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn technical/scientific subject matter quickly.
Good to Have
- Sample writing portfolio (blogs, reports, documentation, or academic papers).
- Familiarity with project management artifacts such as PERT/Gantt charts, design review formats, or delivery documentation.
- Interest in space, aerospace, or defense sectors.
Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting and formatting project documentation-Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR) documents, project reports, PERT charts, delivery/dispatch documentation, and handover documentation under guidance.
- Support creation and upkeep of product manuals, user guides, SOPs, and internal process documentation.
- Convert engineering notes, specs, and SME (subject matter expert) inputs into clear, structured written content.
- Sit in on project reviews and engineering discussions to understand project status, product functionality, and client requirements.
- Maintain document version control, formatting consistency, and a project documentation library.
- Proofread and edit technical content for clarity, tone, and grammar.
- Coordinate with engineering, product, and project management teams to gather inputs and close content gaps.
