Some engineers develop components-others define the experience customers remember every time they step inside an Aston Martin.
At Aston Martin, we're looking for an exceptional Engineering Manager - Seating to lead the development and delivery of one of the most important touchpoints within our vehicles. From comfort and craftsmanship to functionality and performance, seating plays a critical role in creating the luxury experience that defines our brand.
This is an opportunity to lead a highly skilled team responsible for delivering seating systems across multiple vehicle programmes and platforms, shaping both the technical direction and future strategy of the commodity. You'll sit at the centre of a broad network of stakeholders, working closely with Design, Colour & Materials, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Engineering and our supplier partners to bring world-class seating solutions to life.
We're looking for a leader who combines deep technical expertise with a passion for developing people and delivering exceptional products. You'll guide your team through the entire product creation journey, from concept and design through validation, prototype builds and launch, ensuring quality, cost and timing targets are achieved without compromise.
This is a highly visible role where your influence will extend well beyond your own team. You'll lead cross-functional reviews, drive innovation, benchmark best-in-class competitors and provide technical leadership across multiple programmes. You'll be comfortable making decisions, solving complex challenges and presenting confidently to senior stakeholders, including executive leadership.
To succeed in this role, you'll bring extensive experience delivering complete automotive seating systems from concept through to production, alongside a proven track record of leading and developing engineering teams. You'll understand the complexities of automotive product development, supplier management, manufacturing feasibility, validation activities and quality processes such as DFMEA and virtual builds. Most importantly, you'll be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, inspires those around you and takes pride in delivering products of the highest standard.
This role is ideal for someone who is equally passionate about people and product. Someone who enjoys mentoring engineers, driving technical excellence and seeing their work translated into vehicles admired around the world.
Based in Gaydon, this role will involve travel to Aston Martin sites and supplier locations as required, so flexibility and a valid driving licence are essential.
In return, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of seating design and engineering within one of the world's most iconic luxury automotive brands, working on products that combine breathtaking design, innovative engineering and unrivalled craftsmanship.
