About Horizon West Landscape Horizon West Landscape is a commercial landscape and irrigation installation company working with general contractors across Florida. We install landscape, sod, hardscape, and irrigation on multifamily, commercial, hospitality, retail, medical, and other new construction projects.

About the role We are looking for a Project Manager to lead our West Florida construction projects. You will manage several jobs at once from contract award to closeout, own each job's budget and schedule, and be the main contact for our general contractor partners. You will report to the Director of Construction Operations and lead the superintendents, foremen, and field crews assigned to your jobs.

What you will do

  • Take over new jobs from our sales team and build the budget and schedule for each one
  • Manage multiple active projects at once and set priorities for crews and equipment
  • Coordinate start dates, sequencing, and site readiness with general contractors
  • Direct superintendents and foremen on crew planning, quality, and safety, and step into the superintendent role on jobs without one
  • Review submittals, RFIs, and material orders with our project administration and purchasing teams
  • Price, submit, and track change orders
  • Review job cost weekly and report cost to complete monthly
  • Approve monthly progress for billing and manage punch lists and closeout
  • Proactively recruit and hire foremen and crews in your geographic area, or use industry contacts to recommend foremen and crews outside of your geographic region

What you bring

  • 4 or more years managing commercial landscape, irrigation, or site work projects
  • Ability to read landscape, irrigation, and civil plans and specifications, including takeoffs and blueprints
  • Working knowledge of job cost, scheduling, and change order management
  • Strong communication with general contractors, owners, and field crews
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Nice to have

  • Degree in construction management, landscape architecture, horticulture, or a related field
  • OSHA 30
  • Experience with Aspire or similar project management software
  • Knowledge of West Florida nurseries, suppliers, and general contractors
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
