This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Technical Project Manager based in United States.
As a Lead Technical Project Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of SaaS implementations for clients across the automotive and heavy-duty industries. You will oversee project managers while also taking ownership of end-to-end project delivery, from initiation through launch and post-implementation support. The role combines technical project leadership, business analysis, process improvement, and customer relationship management. You will bring together development, QA, business, and client stakeholders to maintain alignment around scope, timelines, risks, and outcomes. You will help strengthen project governance and continuously improve implementation and onboarding practices through Agile methodologies. This is a fully remote opportunity offering broad visibility across technical delivery, customer success, and operational excellence.

Accountabilities:
- Lead the day-to-day activities of a team of Technical Project Managers, providing direction, support, mentoring, and guidance on project management methodologies and best practices.
- Manage the full lifecycle of SaaS implementation projects, from initiation and requirements definition through delivery, launch, and post-launch support.
- Define project scope, requirements, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables through structured business analysis and close collaboration with stakeholders.
- Drive alignment across customers, development teams, business leads, QA, and other internal stakeholders, proactively identifying project risks and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Create, maintain, and monitor project tasks, schedules, dependencies, and documentation using Wrike or comparable project management platforms.
- Lead project meetings with customers and internal cross-functional teams, ensuring discussions remain focused on priorities, decisions, actions, and delivery outcomes.
- Act as the primary communication bridge between technical development teams and external clients, translating technical information into clear business-oriented communication.
- Coordinate software testing, QA milestones, acceptance criteria, and customer validation activities to ensure solutions meet agreed requirements before release.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, status updates, project logs, timelines, risks, and other governance materials throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide weekly project reporting to leadership, including delivery progress, timelines, risks, dependencies, budget status, and key decisions requiring attention.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external clients throughout implementation, maintaining a professional and positive customer onboarding experience.
- Continuously evaluate project management and onboarding processes, recommending improvements to workflows, tools, methodologies, and delivery practices.
- Contribute to process optimization and innovation initiatives that improve project efficiency, quality, consistency, and customer outcomes.
- Support technical documentation, data preparation, ETL-related activities, and other technical project needs when required.
- Mentor project and cross-functional team members, encouraging strong delivery practices, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading technical or software implementation projects, ideally involving SaaS platforms, enterprise software, or complex technology solutions.
- Strong experience managing projects across the full lifecycle, including initiation, requirements gathering, planning, execution, testing, launch, and post-launch support.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate Technical Project Managers or other project delivery professionals.
- Strong business analysis capabilities, including requirements gathering, stakeholder discovery, process analysis, scope definition, and translating business needs into actionable technical deliverables.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and project governance practices in software development or technology environments.
- Hands-on experience using project management tools such as Wrike or similar platforms to manage tasks, timelines, dependencies, documentation, and project reporting.
- Strong understanding of software testing, QA processes, acceptance criteria, and customer validation activities.
- Excellent stakeholder and customer management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business leaders, customers, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide concise project status reports and communicate risks, dependencies, recommendations, and decisions clearly.
- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Proven ability to identify risks early, develop mitigation strategies, resolve delivery challenges, and maintain momentum across complex projects.
- A continuous-improvement mindset with the ability to evaluate processes, recommend practical improvements, and contribute to innovation initiatives.
- Strong mentoring and leadership skills, with the ability to support project managers and cross-functional contributors in developing their delivery capabilities.
- Familiarity with technical documentation, data preparation, ETL concepts, or related technical activities is advantageous.
- Experience supporting clients in the automotive, heavy-duty, aftermarket, or related industries is a plus.
