Lead Counselor – Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Location: High Focus Centers – Center City Philadelphia, PA
High Focus Centers is a leading provider of outpatient mental health and substance use treatment throughout southeastern Pennsylvania. Through our specialized programs—Rehab After Work, The Light Program, and Seeds of Hope—we provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adults and adolescents facing mental health and co-occurring disorders.
We are seeking an experienced Lead Counselor to support our Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This role combines direct clinical care with program leadership responsibilities, serving as a clinical resource for the treatment team while helping ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care.
Schedule
Monday–Friday
- Three daytime shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Two evening shifts: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for counselors within the Adult PHP program.
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments and evaluate clients to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Develop DSM-5-TR diagnoses and collaborate with the treatment team to create individualized treatment plans.
- Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy as needed.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and case consultations.
- Maintain a reduced caseload while providing clinical support to ensure continuity of care and program coverage.
- Assist the Program Director with day-to-day clinical operations and workflow.
- Review clinical documentation and support compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Provide crisis intervention and promote a safe, therapeutic treatment environment.
- Contribute to program development and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Education & Experience
- Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Previous experience working in an Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), or similar behavioral health setting preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment practices, clinical documentation, and multidisciplinary care.
