About the role The Technical Project Manager role is focused on leading the end-to-end delivery of technology projects that support critical insurance business functions. This role sits within FormativGroup’s technology delivery practice and supports projects tied to Policy, Claims, Underwriting, Billing, and related insurance operations. As Technical Project Manager, you will own project planning, execution, stakeholder communication, delivery tracking, and risk management across complex technology initiatives. You will work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, vendors, and leadership to define requirements, manage delivery plans, coordinate releases, and ensure projects meet quality, security, compliance, and regulatory expectations.
What You'll Work On As Technical Project Manager, you will:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of technology projects supporting insurance business functions such as Policy, Claims, Underwriting, and Billing.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, and vendors to define requirements and project plans.
- Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies and track project progress using Jira or similar tools.
- Coordinate application integrations, system upgrades, and production releases.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Provide regular project status updates and reports to leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure projects meet quality, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Bring You will likely be successful in this role if you have:
- Experience managing end-to-end technology projects in insurance, financial services, or another regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of insurance business functions such as Policy, Claims, Underwriting, Billing, or related operational processes.
- Experience managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.
- Experience working with business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, vendors, and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Experience leading Agile/Scrum ceremonies and managing project tracking through Jira or similar tools.
- Experience coordinating application integrations, system upgrades, production releases, and technology delivery milestones.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear project updates to leadership, business teams, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of quality, security, compliance, and regulatory considerations within technology delivery.

- Experience working with Policy, Claims, Underwriting, Billing, or insurance product teams.
- PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, Agile, or related project delivery certifications.
- Experience supporting system modernization, application integration, data migration, or cloud-based delivery initiatives.

- This is a remote role, that requires intiial on-site orientation to a local US office and potential client travel.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency. The compensation range for this position represents our good faith estimate of the range we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, education, work location, and internal equity.
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commissions, or other incentive programs, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, etc.
Estimated Compensation Range:
$70—$80 USD
