Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is based on‑site and requires four days per week in the Brea office to support collaboration and business needs.
The Envista Sr. Commercial Insights & Systems Analyst serves as the senior individual contributor responsible for shaping the DSO commercial insights and systems capability within Sales Operations. This role owns the strategy, architecture, governance, and continuous evolution of the data, reporting, and commercial systems ecosystem that provides a single source of truth across DSO performance, customer intelligence, commercial execution, and growth opportunities.
The role integrates complex data across CRM, ERP, financial, contract, and commercial systems and translates it into strategic insights that influence Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs), Circle Opportunity Reviews (CORs), forecasting, account planning, field targeting, resource prioritization, and leadership decision-making. As the subject-matter expert for commercial insights and systems, this position leads the shift from reactive reporting to proactive opportunity identification, prioritization, and execution at scale.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enterprise Reporting & Business Intelligence
- Define and evolve enterprise-level dashboards, analytics, and reporting that provide executive visibility into DSO performance.
- Own the DSO data architecture, reporting strategy, governance standards, and capability roadmap supporting MORs, CORs, forecasting, account planning, and executive reviews.
- Establish standardized performance frameworks and reporting methodologies for pipeline reviews, contract performance, strategic account management, and commercial decision-making.
- Lead automation and reporting transformation initiatives that improve visibility, consistency, scalability, and speed of decision-making.
- Establish data quality standards, controls, and governance practices that ensure integrity and reporting accuracy across business systems.
Account Intelligence & Commercial Insights
- Lead advanced account and portfolio analytics that identify growth opportunities, penetration gaps, customer trends, commercial risks, and resource priorities.
- Serve as a strategic insights partner to Strategic Account Managers and commercial leaders, providing recommendations that shape account strategy and opportunity prioritization.
- Synthesize complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations that influence account planning, commercial execution, and leadership decisions.
- Define customer scorecards and performance frameworks aligned with enterprise growth objectives and strategic account priorities.
CRM & Commercial Systems
- Partner with Sales Operations, IT, and business stakeholders to define, implement, and optimize CRM and commercial systems capabilities that improve customer visibility, opportunity management, field execution, and productivity.
- Design scalable reporting, workflows, dashboards, data models, and targeting solutions within CRM and related commercial platforms.
- Shape field enablement through actionable customer intelligence, territory insights, and system capabilities that improve prioritization and execution.
- Lead CRM adoption and continuous improvement through simplified workflows, automation, governance, user-centered tools, and stakeholder engagement.
Forecasting & Performance Management
- Shape forecasting methodologies and performance management through automated reporting, advanced trend analysis, and predictive insights.
- Define and monitor KPIs related to revenue growth, pipeline health, pricing performance, retention, portfolio penetration, and category expansion.
- Identify material performance risks and opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to commercial and functional leadership.
- Improve forecasting accuracy and decision quality through advanced analytics, data governance, and cross-functional alignment.
Field Targeting & Opportunity Prioritization
- Define segmentation and targeting methodologies that guide resource allocation toward the highest-value opportunities.
- Design parent-child account hierarchies and segmentation models that improve enterprise visibility, field prioritization, and strategic account management.
- Develop analytical frameworks that identify whitespace opportunities, cross-sell potential, contract renewal priorities, and growth initiatives.
- Advise on campaign targeting and field execution planning using customer, account, and opportunity intelligence.
- Establish measurement approaches that assess commercial program and field activity effectiveness and inform future investment decisions.
Data Management & Continuous Improvement
- Own the integration and governance of data from ERP, CRM, financial systems, contract tools, forecasting platforms, and customer databases.
- Establish scalable data management processes, reporting standards, documentation, and governance controls.
- Lead opportunities to automate manual reporting, simplify data flows, improve system usability, and increase operational efficiency.
- Influence Operations, Finance, IT, and Commercial Leadership to advance the commercial insights and systems roadmap and deliver cross-functional improvements.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
- 5-8+ years of progressive experience in business analytics, commercial operations, sales operations, business intelligence, commercial systems, or related roles, including ownership of complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, Dynamics, or similar CRM and reporting platforms.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. with demonstrated ability to translate complex data into strategic recommendations and business actions.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets, executive dashboards, data models, and visualization tools.
- Demonstrated ability to influence commercial, finance, operations, IT, and leadership stakeholders and lead initiatives without direct authority.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Experience defining analytics, reporting, data governance, or commercial systems strategies and multi-year capability roadmaps.
- Advanced proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, Dynamics, SQL, data modeling, or comparable analytics and CRM platforms.
- Experience integrating data across CRM, ERP, financial, contract, forecasting, and customer systems.
- Demonstrated ability to develop executive-level insights, performance frameworks, and recommendations that influence commercial strategy and resource allocation.
- Experience leading CRM, reporting, workflow automation, or business intelligence transformation initiatives in a complex matrixed organization.
- Strong understanding of commercial operations, enterprise account management, forecasting, field targeting, and customer segmentation.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and consultative influencing skills.
- Experience establishing data quality, reporting governance, documentation, and adoption standards across business functions.

Target Market Salary Range:

At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
