Opportunity
Information Management Group (IMG) is seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC. This on-site position requires a professional who brings strong technical expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

The Business Analyst will work with the Program Manager and Application Developers to develop, prioritize, and manage backlogs applications. They will also oversee the assignment of work, track meetings, provide weekly status updates, and conduct routine sprint planning with developers and product managers. The Business Analyst will assist in gathering stakeholder feedback prior to an application going live into the production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day management of the 08Y-EA application production efforts which includes the planning and tracking of development using Agile and Scrum practices and methodologies as implemented in 08Y-EA written policies, directives, and desktop procedures
- Work with both the application program manager and customer product stakeholders to develop, prioritize, and manage backlog items
- Conduct routine sprint planning and tracking meetings in small teams consisting of some or all the following individuals: the developer or developers assigned to an application, the product manager for the application, and the Manager, Enterprise Applications.
- Conduct sprint review meetings to gather feedback from team members and demonstrate completed work based on documented requirements
- Lead requirements gathering efforts to ensure stakeholders’ needs and technical feedback is incorporated into software development lifecycle
- Document and track risks, highlighting them to 08Y-EA staff when appropriate
- Utilize data driven approaches to prepare metrics and track individual developer efforts, time on task, and seek opportunities for improving workflows
- Coordinate and execute backlog refinement meetings to develop long-term and strategic objectives
- Brief updates to the appropriate staff and facilitate Planning Increment (PI) meetings to identify and refine documented requirements
Salary- 100-160k
Qualifications
- Clearance: active DOD Top Secret or DOE Q security clearance.
- 3+ years of experience in program management or business analysis or a Bachelor’s degree in relevant concentration.
Desired Skills:
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle from design, coding, testing, documentation, operations and maintenance.
- Develop and execute test plans, leveraging automated testing tools when possible, to validate functional requirements are met
- Experience performing the above with limited management oversight, independently and/or as part of a small team
